RDX and Drive Image Backup

In order to successfully perform a Drive Image Backup to a RDX unit, the drive must be configured in fixed mode.

This limitation stems from a known problem of the Windows Backup application.

Here’s a list of RDX units that may be configured in fixed mode:

TTandberg QuikStor USB3.0 RDX Drive (both internal or external) with firmware 2.03 or newer
Imation RDX QuikStor USB3.0 Drive (both internal or external) with firmware 0241 or newer

Note: Dell RD1000 storage units can’t be used as destination for a Drive Image Backup, due to an incompatibility with Windows Backup.
